石竹花在窗台上慢慢地生长

I can almost hear
J& m7 u1 F$ y1 u2 B The somewhat distressed humming
8 y; f, v3 ~6 g, X The old country house
& M) _( J/ \$ ]* r& j May no longer be there+ S/ k* j3 f4 M. [
With pinks growing slowly on the windowsill
4 U+ |" v3 Q: |/ v" h4 V Late winter snows float down twilight by twilight# y; f: T, K' s$ s s
To be heard in the solitude against the glass# ^4 e# m; ~! b6 V( _$ L% x# H
And through the window illuminated by snowflakes
( q. w) k8 }8 v( S( a The old tree's crotches seem swarthier+ }/ ~% x+ r6 y1 x
And the sound of melting snow falling from the eaves) X7 p2 X, V2 |4 U% g" n
Keeps me long from sleep# W- B) w: ^8 y5 ~
And in my youth2 `, F" [1 d+ f; \5 H
I did not sleep till Mother$ S, A- R; \8 x+ E5 d
Having slaved daylong) N' E9 E* U$ o; S( ]# D5 Z5 g
From one room to the next
: K- x, l# t# x Tucked in my coverlet
9 Z2 Q4 m) e: R. T( R. n F' { m, w So the snowflakes gradually tuck in memory of the past/ a: |* U F& l9 I
And I faintly hear
T8 B# a, [8 n Twigs fall
; @7 e- b2 V4 L/ v+ N1 i$ [8 A8 r And the kettle singing& Q; a5 R9 G* m0 b7 r* s
On the warm fire$ }# Q- {& {: t
