　　His vision, from the constantly passing bars,
　　has grown so weary that it cannot hold
　　anything else. It seems to him there are
　　a thousand bars; and behind the bars, no world.

　　有千条栏杆;而栏杆之后别无他物。
　　As he paces in cramped circles, over and over,
　　the movement of his powerful soft strides

　　仿佛某种祭祀之舞围绕着一个中心，

　　Only at times, the curtain of the pupils
　　lifts, quietly—. An image enters in,
& x- H; b6 t" Y* U　　rushes down through the tensed, arrested muscles,
　　plunges into the heart and is gone.
' V; O: B' u* t　　只有时眼帘无声地撩起——
* G+ d7 W0 A3 r; b0 j' \/ }; a1 M　　一幅图像从瞳孔浸入，
- G; X* A2 ?  h( q　　穿过凝神僵立的躯体
